In July 2022 we started a community BBQ in the heart of Nambour’s CBD with the aim of providing the local community with a space where they could come and get a meal and a conversation without the stigma of receiving a handout. What could be more Aussie than a BBQ! Fix MY Property Now has the privilege of being one of the major contributors to this project along with some of the other great businesses in Nambour.

 

On an average Thursday the team of local volunteers give out 100 gourmet hotdogs and drinks to young families doing it tough. They also provide conversation and introduction to a range of support services across the coast.
